Picture gallery of competitors and spectators sporting “Maneuvers” by Many Weapons at the 6th Arizona International Open of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It was an incredible GD Jiu-Jitsu event featuring 700 competitors and a number of amazing matches. Many Weapons released a new design “Match Maneuvers” which was well received. Below is a gallery showcasing some of the usual suspects who were in the gym with Many Weapons. Thank you for your support!!!

Issa Able Does it Again!!!

Congratulations to (Novo Uniao’s) Issa Able from GD Jiu-Jitsu for securing his spot to compete in Abu Dhabi for the second year in a row, after winning the Purple/Open Light and to Kristina Barlaan who took 2nd in the purple to black/129 and 2nd in the open class and to Aaron Wilson who took 2nd in white/163.

Meet Bruno Bastos, the 2nd Southwest BJJ Classic ticket to Portugal winner in the Heavy Open. Bastos defeated the tough Carlos Farias (Traven BJJ) in what was a rematch from the 2010 Arizona State Championships to capture the gold. For more tournament info go to gdjiujitsu.com.

The 2nd Southwest Brazilian Classic was an awesome tournament sponsored by GD Jiu-Jitsu Events. There was over 600 competitors all competing for bragging rights, medals and 3 plane tickets to Portugal. On top of all the great action, it was nice to see a bigger Many Weapons presence. We took as many pictures and as much video as possible. Unfortunately we couldn’t catch everything but we were able to get some amazing shots. BJJ Sponsorship Winners, Runner Ups and Honorable Mentions

Many Weapons ran a contest for the 2nd Southwest BJJ Classic. We selected the top 3 most impressive Jiu-Jitsu fighters from the submissions we received as the winners based on the number of videos uploaded and overall combined views.

The winners (Aaron Wilson, Araya Garcia and Shaquille Cruz) receive entry fees covered to the 2nd Southwest BJJ Championship, Free gear to be awarded at the tournament, interviews and fight coverage during the event.

The runner ups (Jarraid Forsyth and Rory McDonell) receive free gear and future sponsorship consideration.

Prizes will be awarded at the tournament and shipped on the 18th of October following the tournament.

This promotion is good for this tournament only. Future contests will determine future sponsorships.

Issa Able 1st in the Purple/Light, Gustavo 1st place the Black Belt/Feather/Master and Kristina Barlaan – 1st place (Female/Feather/No-Gi) and 3rd place (Feather/Gi) & 3rd place (Open/Gi). Check out the Many Weapons Produced Promo for The GD JIU-JITSU Events and Arizona State Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federations (AZSBJJF) 2010 Arizona BJJ State Championship. The competition will take place on June 26th and 27th at the Westwood High School located at 945 W. 8th St. in Mesa, AZ 85201.

Team Many Weapons – 2010 Pan Jiu-Jitsu Results

The 2010 Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship took place in Irvine, CA from April 8th to the 11th. The largest tournament in IBJJF history gathered over 2800 competitors from all over the world. Team Many Weapons was represented by 3 competitors who were able to win 5 medals! Christian Broadnax, won both his weight and the Open Class in the Blue/Juvenile division, Kristina Barlaan, who won the feather weight division and took third in the Open Class and Christopher Broadnax who won Middle/Juvenile.
